Prayer Walks
The first strategic counsel given by Yahweh to Joshua pointed out the power of his walk; “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you . . .”[i] God’s counsel included the impartation of authority to conquer and take possession of what was promised.[ii] The overthrow of Jericho was the enactment of Yahweh’s strategy.[iii] It is the desire of this watch to expose and overthrow the cultural lies of these times.
Prayer walks around school campuses are encouraged as one key for pulling down strongholds of influence that have no Christ-centered authority.[iv] In addition, the advancement of the Kingdom is prepared by proclaiming Jesus’ victory over this world’s indoctrinating culture. Prayer walks reenforce the mind of Christ in the spiritual atmosphere of school campuses.[v]
Whether you wish to prayer walk in proximity or pray remotely, school names are available on Vancouver area school district websites. I have walked every campus within Vancouver Public Schools (VPS) after hours and weekends. It is typical to find neighbors running, walking and playing in and around the campuses. Please remain off-campus during school hours.
